To define performance is to look both at performativity as an act of social or artistic manifestation and as the inherent feasibility of any entity to perform within or outside a given context. Are material interaction and the process(ing) of material per definition forms of performativity? This seminar will try to approach the different semantic presumptions and how artistic practice can be a tool or a result of performance and materiality.
